Zur Zeit sind eine promovierte Wissenschaftlerin, eine Doktorandin und vier Studen des Departments of Anthropology (AIM) der Universität Zürich (in Kollaboration mit den Universitäten Leipzig, Deutschland und Warwick, England), der Universitas Nasional, Jakarta, Indonesia und dem Institute Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Indonesia, vor Ort tätig. Weitere Wissenschaftlerinnen, Doktorandinnen und Studentinnen werten ihre in Suaq gesammelten Daten zur Zeit in der Schweiz aus. Die Projekte befassen sich mit folgenden Themen:

The goal of this project is to invest how ecological and social factors affect the feeding behavior and diet compositions of Sumatran orangutans.

With this project, we aim to compare caloric intakes and nutrient compositions of the diets of different age-sex classes, in particular adult males.

This study investigates the role of socially transmitted knowledge between local females and immigrant unflanged males.

With this project, we investigate how differences in opportunities for social learning affect the cognivie development of immatures and later skill sets.
