The theme of this year is “Forests and Livelihoods: sustaining people and planet”. Healthy rainforests are essential for life on earth. One of our goals is to research the biology and behavior of the unique Sumatran orangutan population living in the Suaq Balimbing forest. Another goal is to sustain the natural beauty and the amazing biodiversity in this peat swamp forest to ensure that all its inhabitants have a healthy habitat! Look at the local high school students from SD Durian Kawan and SD Indra Damai helping us plant seeds in 2019 🌱
